Od czterech lat funkcjonuje wieloletni program Ministerstwa Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej „Senior – Wigor”. Ostatnio funkcjonuje on pod nazwą „Senior +”. Program polega on na wsparciu gmin w tworzeniu i prowadzeniu Dziennych Domów dla osób starszych. W Wielkopolsce funkcjonuje ponad 50 takich placówek. Każdego roku powstają kolejne domy. Jednym z najstarszych jest Dzienny Dom Opieki „Senior-Wigor” w Złotowie. Codziennie zajmuje się 20 osobami, z czego kilka ma ponad 90 lat. Odbywają się tam zajęcia rehabilitacyjne, kulturalne, treningi pamięci i spotkania z ciekawymi ludźmi. Podopieczni mogą liczyć na wsparcie psychologa oraz pomoc w załatwienie spraw urzędowych. Codziennie otrzymują też drugie śniadanie i obiad. Lubią także słuchać Radia „Poznań”. Dlatego ostatnio otrzymali od pracowników radia mikołajkowe prezenty. Były wśród nich radiowe koszulki, smycze i inne upominki. Długo będą to wspominać, bo jak sami mówią - taka akcja to coś niezwykłego.
